Hi, I'm Alberto and I make software
Working as a software engineer since 2016, I am familiar with different technologies and languages, but I have a special interest in full-stack web development.
I enjoy building web apps with TypeScript and technologies like Next.js, React, Solid, and Node.
But every technology is just a tool to me. I like looking at the bigger picture.
My background
I started my career as a backend and mobile developer, using Java and Objective-C, and I worked on several apps and microservices for a CES award-winning startup until 2019.
After that, I worked as a Java and .Net backend developer for a major Italian insurance company. During my time there, I maintained a couple of critical services for a year.
In 2020, I chose to leave full-time employment because of my frustration with corruption and nepotism in the work-place and started freelancing.
I took the opportunity to explore the development world in-depth and during my freelancing experience I discovered my passion for functional patterns and JavaScript-based technologies.
